Rafael Vieira

With a BCs in Medical Biotechnology and a MCs in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, I am fascinated by the application of informatics in understanding complex biological problems. I developed my MCs thesis through AptaCom - a machine learning model for aptamer-protein interaction prediction and a dataset of more than 4000 aptamers from a myriad of sources. In the past year, I dove into aptamer research through 3D modeling, molecular docking and molecular dynamics - collaborating in various projects.
